Open Mic Night, November 17th: Children's Literature

It's official! The Olivetree's semi-annual open mic is around the corner. Join us on November 17th for a night of reading, sharing, and listening. Sign up to perform (poetry or any other type of performance welcome) by email at olivetreereview@gmail.com or in person at the event itself.

This year's theme is children's literature. Let's face it. Being an adult can suck, especially now. So come recapture your youth! Kick back on a couch, drink some chocolate milk, stuff your face with cupcakes, and enjoy some poetry. The material you read doesn't have to be about childhood but feel free to use it as an inspiration.

And in true OTR form, Halloween ain't over on the 31st. Costumes are strongly encouraged. Dress up as your favorite children's lit character, put on your favorite birthday party dress, or get your Hogwarts garb on, whatever floats your boat. Fun times guaranteed.

Doors open at 7. Reading will begin around 7:30 and continue til 10 with one intermission. Stop by at whatever time works best for you. But remember those cupcakes won't last forever. ;)

**Non-Hunter guests welcome as always, but remember to bring some form of ID and go through the guest entrance at Hunter West.
