The Melting Pot: Art Show and Open Mic

El Fogon, Center for the Arts, presents a monthly art and poetry show curated by art enthusiast Julissa Rodriguez. The event is a creative spectacle bringing together an array of young talents. The Melting Pot aims to bring together the community and promote arts in the Bronx neighborhood.


Olivetree Art editor, Connie Salvayon, will be a featured artist in Saturday's show. Come out and support her for her first paintings showing!

Manhattan in marble

Want to see Manhattan carved in to marble? The David Zwirner gallery in Chelsea has an exhibit by Japanese artist, Yutaka Sone who has worked Manhattan's landscape into a large block of marble. The show "Island" features highly detailed marble coral, tree stumps, and large banana tree fronds made with rattan. Sone's work is on show until October 29th.
