Submissions for Fall 2019/Issue 66 are DUE on October 13th!

In addition to submitting, you can submit a piece specifically to a contest, each in art, drama, poetry, and prose.  The winners are chosen by the editors and will each receive a $35 VISA gift card. The contest will be a separate submission and should follow the criteria of the contest topic. Only currently matriculated Hunter undergraduate and graduate students can receive prize money.

The OTR accepts submissions in Poetry, Art, Prose (Fiction/Non-Fiction), and Drama. Work will be reviewed by editors and final decisions will be made near the end of the semester.

We do not accept email submissions. All new submissions should go through our online submission manager above. Guidelines are posted on the Submittable page. Please read before submitting.

You are welcome to submit work that was submitted, but not selected previously. If you do so, we recommend you send an updated version.

Note: Your name should appear nowhere in your work.

The staff of The Olivetree Review (OTR) democratically decides what material is fit to print. Please note that all submissions are anonymous and remain so until your piece has been selected for publication. You can choose to have a say in the selection process by becoming an associate editor for OTR and attending our editorial meetings. All dedicated students are welcomed. Decisions made by the Editors are final.

All copyrights remain in the possession of the artist. The Olivetree Review asks for one-time print and electronic publication rights, as well as reasonable usage for promotional and internal material. A short contract will be sent to the artist upon acceptance.
