Established in 1983, the Olivetree Review is Hunter College’s student-run undergraduate art and literary journal. The OTR is published every semester, and features art and writing primarily from Hunter undergraduate students. The magazine is distributed for free among the Hunter community.

We have over one thousand issues circulating at Hunter College every semester. Many back issues are now available to view online at OTR is funded by your Student Activity fees and is run entirely by Hunter College undergraduates.

The OTR seeks to expand the creative community at Hunter beyond the walls of TH212. All Hunter undergrads are welcome to submit and also to become an editor in any of our four departments: Art, Poetry, Drama, and Prose. No experience is necessary. We have anywhere between 10-20 editors per section every semester. For more information, see the Get Involved page.

The OTR also hosts open houses, open writing sessions, art walks, craft workshops, and The Best Open Mic at Hunter, as well as other fun events. To stay updated, sign up for our email list by filling out the Student Contact Form, check our Calendar page, or connect with us on Facebook and Twitter.
